What does freight transport by road mean?
Is road freight cheaper than sea freight?
No, sea shipping in most cases is cheaper then sea freight. However, road transport provides a door-to-door delivery service which can save you additional cartage from your local port to the destination. Call one of our experts to find out your best freight type.
Can I ship via pallet using road freight?
Yes, road freight can handle pallets, in addition to parcels. Ensure when contacting us to let us know if you’ll require a forklift to unload when collecting or when delivering at the final destination.
How to calculate chargeable weight for road freight?
For larger shipments we’ll ask for the road freight volumetric weight, which is calculated by multiplying Length x Weight x Height for it’s cubic metres (CBM), then multiplied by 333kgs to create volume weight. We will then adjust pricing based off the actual weight.
What regulation governs road freight transport?
The Law on Land Transport and the Regulation on Land Transport govern road freight and provide the regulations for transport companies.
